APTLD and the Pacific IGF
Our team helped organise, and presented at this year’s joint meeting of APTLD and the PacificIGF and have helped foster closer working relationships between the Pacific and with Asia. In particular, we have advocated the importance of capability building between Country Code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) administrators and knowledge sharing. Our presentations at APTLD80 were on Thinking Big: Using Big Data to Mitigate DNS Abuse and on Blockchain in the DNS.
Brent Carey (when he was Domain Name Commissioner) was Vice Chair of the Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Name Association and has shared his outtakes in a blog.
CENTR participation
We are an associate member of CENTR (the Council of European National Top-Level Domain Registries).
We are actively monitoring the position of ccTLD providers' potential role in responding to online harm. We note this paper published by CENTR.
